About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Joiner to join our client’s team, specialising in construction fit-out projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and installing high-quality wooden structures and fixtures, ensuring precision and adherence to health and safety standards. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to both residential and commercial developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing and Assembly: Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials to create structures such as doors, windows, staircases, and bespoke furniture.
  • Installation: Install completed joinery items on-site, ensuring accurate fitting and alignment.
  • Technical Drawings: Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project specifications.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks to ensure all work meets required standards and specifications.
  • Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Joiner, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in using woodworking machinery and hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
Desirable Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent.
  • Experience in both first and second fix joinery.
  • Knowledge of modern joinery techniques and materials.
