A leading fintech company in London is seeking a Job Architecture expert to develop a framework from scratch. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Job Architecture and project management. Key responsibilities include researching, designing, and implementing innovative job structures to support company growth. This role offers competitive salary flexibility, stock options, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
We’re on a mission to make money work for everyone. We’re simplifying banking beyond traditional methods, offering features like hot coral cards and get-paid-early, supported by financial education on social media and award-winning customer service. We’re not about selling products — we want to solve problems and change lives through Monzo.
We’re looking for a Job Architecture expert to join us on a 12-month FTC and help build something from the ground up. You’re not just knowledgeable about levelling and structure; you’re energized by exploring innovative solutions and shaping Monzo’s future.
Monzo is growing quickly. We want a structure that grows with us — fair, clear, and designed to support people, not slow them down. We want everyone to understand how they can progress, how their role fits into the bigger picture, and how we reward impact. That’s where you come in.
This isn’t about fixing what already exists. It’s about creating something new from the ground up. You’ll design the whole thing: how we define roles, how we think about levels, and how that connects with our pay approach and people systems.
You’ll bring it to life — building the framework, guiding the process, and helping everyone understand not just what we’re doing, but why it matters.
If you’ve done this before at scale, and you’re excited by complexity, clarity and meaningful change, we’d love to hear from you.
This isn’t a small tweak to an existing system. It’s a company-wide transformation. You’ll be designing the structure that helps Monzo scale with clarity, fairness and purpose.
This work touches every team. Done well, it creates clarity, fairness and opportunity for everyone.
Not ticking every box? That’s totally okay. We’re committed to diversity and inclusion. If you’re passionate about this role and keen to learn and grow with us, we encourage you to apply — even if you don’t have everything listed yet.
Flexibility on base salary depending on experience; stock options.
Flexible working hours and trust to meet roles and teams as needed.
£1,000 learning budget each year for books, training courses and conferences.
Support for remote work setup; Macbooks provided for all employees.
The application journey has 3 key steps: 1) 30-minute recruiter call, 2) initial team conversation, 3) 2–3 final stage interviews held remotely via Google Meet. The process typically takes 2–3 weeks, with flexibility.
We have guidelines on using AI to ace an application and interview at Monzo. You can read them here. For questions, contact business-hiring@monzo.com. We’ll support you through the process and accommodate needs related to disability or neurodiversity.
We’ll close the role when we have sufficient applications for the next stage. Please apply as soon as possible.
