Java Full Stack Developer (Front End Focused)

1-Year Fixed Term Contract (FTC)

📍Manchester (3 Days Office / 2 Days Remote)

💰 Up to £65,000

A well-established IT firm is looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to join a high-profile banking client. While this role covers the full stack, we are looking for a candidate with a strong emphasis on Front End development to contribute to a large-scale development project.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Development: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web applications from the UI to the database.
• Front End Focus: Create sophisticated user interfaces and layouts using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React or Angular).
• Back End Development: Develop server-side logic, RESTful APIs, and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
• Database Management: Design and work with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases and ORMs.
• Quality Control: Write unit tests, perform code reviews, and ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance.
• Agile Collaboration: Work with designers, product owners, and other developers in a fast-paced Scrum environment.

Essential Skills

• Proven expertise in Architecture Patterns and Styles and Java.
• Advanced proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Deep experience with Spring / Spring Boot and Front End frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Strong experience in RESTful API development and consumption.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.
