SALARY: £47,790-58,410 per annum

LOCATION(S): Edinburgh, Bristol, Halifax, Leeds, Manchester & London

HOURS: Full-time – 35 hours per week

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our offices stated above.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and building modern applications that touch millions of lives. You’ll:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy frontend and backend services.
  • Build and deploy containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Quality Engineers.
  • Integrate with internal systems and third-party APIs to create seamless user experiences.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape our engineering strategy.

Please highlight any relevant experience with the following skills and technologies in your application:

  • Backend Development
    • Hands-on experience withJava, including designing and implementingRESTful APIsthat support scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.
    • Familiarity with backend frameworks such asSpring BootandNode.jsis beneficial.
  • DevOps & Cloud
    • Experience with CI/CD tools such asGitHub Actions,Jenkins, orHarness.
    • Familiarity withDockerfor containerization andKubernetesfor orchestration.
    • Exposure to cloud platforms —Google Cloud Platform (GCP)preferred, butAWSorAzureexperience is also welcome.
  • Quality Testing & Automation
