Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Infrastructure, Stirling Council for a Temporary Janitor for 6 months at Bannockburn High School.

The post will involve providing janitorial services on a full-time basis (35 hours per week) in support of the High school community.

Working hours

Working hours for the post will be Monday to Friday 07.30 – 22.00 on a shift basis to cover daytime and out of school activities; this may also include weekend working. Also included is a 60 minute unpaid break paid at Stirling Councils Grade 5. Personal protective equipment will be provided and training where necessary.

Responsibilities and requirements

Applicants will require to be physically fit, as porterage and other heavy lifting forms a large part of the role and be prepared at times to work outdoors in inclement weather. Occasional overtime working at evenings to cover school lets will also be required.

Applicants will also require a basic working knowledge of IT and be willing to undertake training to allow them to utilise Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications. Personal protective equipment, tools and training will be provided.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.
