Role Overview

As a Janitor, you will provide efficient janitorial services, including cleaning, portering, and basic maintenance tasks. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be key in creating a welcoming environment for all.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general portering duties: moving furniture, receiving deliveries, and managing waste disposal.
• Carry out a variety of cleaning tasks: from carpet shampooing to high-level cleaning, ensuring all areas are spotless.
• Undertake basic maintenance tasks: replacing light bulbs, fixing rails, and conducting minor repairs.
• Ensure safety by maintaining tools and equipment, and report any issues to your supervisor.
• Set up and break down rooms for seminars and events, making every occasion a success.
• Promote and comply with health and safety policies, ensuring a safe space for everyone.

What We're Looking For

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ 2 Caretaking, Health and Safety training) - Desirable.
• Previous experience as a janitor or porter in a large organisation - Desirable.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning equipment and materials - Essential.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks - Essential.
