IT Trackside Operational Technician

Description

We are looking for an IT Trackside Operational Technician to deliver a high standard of IT support across critical environments - including Trackside, Mission Control, and Simulator facilities. In this role, you’ll also manage the full logistics lifecycle of IT hardware, ensuring our equipment is maintained, serviced, shipped, and race-ready at all times. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure role where attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork are key to success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage IT freight logistics: preparation, shipment, maintenance, return, and traceability of kits worldwide.
  • Maintain asset registers and freight manifests, ensuring accuracy of hardware condition, readiness, and documentation.
  • Oversee hardware replenishment and replacement cycles to support global event demands.
  • Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and event organisers to ensure seamless integration with technical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate external contractors for equipment servicing, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
  • Log, monitor, and prioritise requests, incidents, and project tasks, escalating when required.
  • Provide IT infrastructure support across client, server, storage, networking, audio/visual.
  • Provide on-site IT support to key stakeholders at track and factory.
  • Deliver mission control IT support on a rotational basis.
  • Contribute to ongoing and new systems projects both at the factory and trackside.
  • Ensure compliance with IT processes, health & safety, and company standards at all times.
