IT Risk & Controls Manager
Location: Belfast (Hybrid)

Our client, TP ICAP - a world-leading provider of market infrastructure - is seeking an IT Risk & Controls Manager to join their global team. This is a key role within the Technology function, providing oversight, governance, and management of technology risks and controls in alignment with the firm's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of IT Risk Management & Controls (EMEA), the IT Risk & Controls Manager will be responsible for ensuring effective management of technology risk globally. This involves embedding frameworks, supporting risk reporting, managing policies, maintaining the risk register, and strengthening control oversight across the first line of defence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and manage the implementation of the IT risk management framework as part of the firm's Enhanced Risk Management Framework (ERMF).

  • Provide risk reporting for core IT processes, including regular group-wide KPI and KRI reports.

  • Maintain Technology policies in line with Group standards and oversee changes through relevant governance bodies.

  • Prepare and support the Technology Risk Forum, and provide input to regional Risk Committees.

  • Maintain the risk register (Riskonnect), including controls, attestations, assurance, issue-action tracking, and event management.

  • Oversee control development, attestation, remediation plans, and assurance programmes.

  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and enhance tools for demonstrating controls oversight within the first line of defence.

  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation, remediation, validation, and management response.

About You

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Solid IT experience within Financial Services.

  • Strong background in IT Risk & Controls, ideally within an Operational Risk environment.

  • Proven track record within Risk Management, Lines of Defence, or IT functions.

  • Strong understanding of Technology operations and risk frameworks.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • A proactive, accountable approach with the ability to work under pressure.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with regulators and auditors.

  • Hands-on experience with control testing, assurance, and audit management.

  • Ability to prepare concise management summaries.

  • Client-focused, solution-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
