Job description

I am looking for a proactive and organised IT Coordinator to join a growing Digital Business Support Team. This is a hands‑on, highly varied role where you will take full ownership of all IT hardware management across the business — from asset lifecycle control, device setup, and redeployment, through to troubleshooting and onsite technical support.

You’ll be the first point of contact for IT‑related queries, helping users navigate the correct support channels and working closely with an external managed services provider to make sure issues are resolved in line with agreed SLAs. Working alongside the Executive Assistant and Operations Team, you’ll help ensure smooth day‑to‑day business operations and contribute to continuous improvement across the company’s IT environment.

Key Responsibilities
IT Hardware & Asset Management
  • Issue, configure and deploy all IT equipment, including laptops, monitors and accessories
  • Manage software licensing and support starter / leaver IT administration
  • Conduct new starter equipment handovers (Head Office and remote sites)
  • Oversee returned equipment, including servicing, redeployment, restocking or secure disposal
  • Maintain an up‑to‑date asset management platform
  • Manage stock levels and ordering of replacement devices
  • Coordinate distribution and return of IT equipment between Head Office and project sites
  • Oversee IT elements of site office setups or relocations (internet / Wi‑Fi, Starlink, screens, printers etc.)
  • Resolve device, hardware, network and printer issues
  • Carry out PAT testing for IT equipment across all locations
Technology Platform Support
  • Coordinate installations, maintenance and administration of digital site gateways and related tagging technology
  • Manage the lifecycle, refurbishment, and distribution of project‑related tags and devices
General Business Support
  • Monitor and manage the Business Support Team mailbox in line with SLAs
  • Guide employees to use the correct IT support channels, assisting them in raising and escalating support tickets
  • Track IT support tickets weekly and report updates to the Executive Assistant
  • Contribute to wider business support projects, including office moves
  • Work closely with the Platforms & Implementation Coordinator to ensure users have all required applications and licences
  • Promote adherence to IT and cyber security policies across the organisation
Learning & Development
  • Stay up to date with company platforms and tools (SharePoint, Microsoft 365 etc.)
  • Deliver IT inductions for new starters, either in person or via Teams
Skills & Attributes
Core Competencies
  • Friendly, helpful and confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong relationship‑builder who earns trust quickly
  • Highly organised with a logical, systematic approach
  • Process‑driven, detail‑focused and committed to continuous improvement
  • Able to work at pace and meet deadlines
  • A self‑starter with high levels of motivation and ownership
  • Comfortable guiding colleagues through change
  • Able to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience maintaining computer hardware (e.g., RAM upgrades, basic repairs)
  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems
  • Good awareness of cyber security best practices
  • Basic understanding of networking
  • Familiarity with Multi‑Factor Authentication
  • Experience with licence management
  • Understanding of ITIL processes (desirable)
Behaviours
  • Passionate about delivering excellent service
  • Willing to go the extra mile to get the job done
  • A collaborative, inclusive team player
  • Proactive with a strong sense of ownership and pride in work
  • Positive, 'can-do' attitude and quick to take action
