Job summary

A leading tech staffing firm is seeking an experienced Software Engineer/iOS Developer for a 6-month project in Coventry. You will work in Agile teams, contributing to the development of innovative iOS applications. The ideal candidate has demonstrable experience in software development, particularly with Swift/UI and related frameworks. This role requires collaboration, proficiency in object-oriented design, and knowledge of automated testing techniques. A solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with tools like JIRA is also essential. This position will require in-office work two days a week in Coventry.

Job summary
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and related experience within software development environment
  • Experience with Swift/UI, MVVM architecture, iOS frameworks and iOS UX/UI guidelines.
  • A clear understanding of and ability to explain the fundamentals of object-oriented development, along with good overall engineering patterns and practices
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of working in teams
  • Working in Agile environments, preferably SCRUM and using tools such as JIRA
  • Code and version control using GitHub or equivalent
  • Automated testing techniques and testing frameworks
Specific Skills

What would be nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Java/JVM based development practices
  • Consumption of JSON web services
  • Android technologies such as Kotlin and Coroutines
  • Continuous integration/deployment
  • Test driven development and/or behaviour driven development
  • Understanding of Cloud Technologies, preferably AWS
