Responsibilities
  • Leading the Mission Systems OBU to grow business, increase profitability and evolve the products and services offered in line with the Company's objectives and priorities.
  • Providing the strategic leadership, coordination and implementation of long‑term frameworks, planning processes and high‑performing environments to deliver overall company success and financial performance.
  • Contributing to the wider governance and running of the business as a key member of the Inzpire Leadership Team, working collaboratively across the OBUs and Functions to evolve the organisation and meet our collective goals.
  • Representation of the business externally through senior stakeholder engagement and negotiation, driving innovative programmes to grow the customer base and increase market share within our chosen sectors.
  • Overseeing the delivery of long‑term successful commercial solutions that meet the needs of our customers, shareholders, and people.
  • Conducting robust strategic financial and resource planning to meet the 5‑year ISP.
  • Managing budgets, resources, and costs within delegations to increase profitability and the return on sales.
  • Driving the awareness and management of key risks.
  • Developing professional capability and competence for personnel within your areas of responsibility through appropriate professional experience, training and accreditation; managing performance and effectiveness, and implementing solutions for the professional development and/or improvement of your people.
  • Maintaining the required levels of quality and customer satisfaction in your OBU outputs.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of behaviour and integrity.
  • Support,‑model the company's vision, mission, behaviours and values to staff, customers, business partners, and stakeholders.
  • Being an advocate for, and leader of, change and advancement across your OBU and Inzpire.
  • Promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within your OBU and the wider business.
Qualifications
  • Evidence of senior business leadership or the potential to operate at a senior business leadership level.
  • Experience of the Defence and Security sector, and a credible understanding of the customer environments relevant to the Mission Systems OBU business, including associated commercial opportunities and constraints.
  • Experience of managing key external stakeholder relationships including strategic customers within environments relevant to the OBU.
  • There are no mandatory or essential qualifications or professional memberships for the role.
Additional Requirements

Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
