You will be responsible for the development of a comprehensive customer focussed housing repairs strategy and related policies to reflect the priorities of our Housing Asset Management Strategy. You will develop and maintain a range of clear procedures to direct staff in the delivery of the housing capital investment programme and housing repairs ensuring they reflect business rules. You will prepare reports to allow officers to review and monitor repair volumes and profiles, identifying trends where appropriate and you will put in place robust customer engagement and consultation methods to contribute to the continuous improvement of the housing repairs service. You will assist with the administration and development of the Housing Repairs Management system and other associated IT systems.

It is essential you have experience of developing strategies and policies in relation to housing investment and maintenance; writing policies and procedures for investment and repairs; skilled in data analysis and report writing, with experience of working with customers to develop customer focussed services. You must have effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organisational skills; be IT literate and familiar with Housing Management and Repairs systems. You will be able to exhibit continuous personal development; be motivated and able to work on your own initiative. You must be able to deliver effective approaches to problem solving; work to tight deadlines and be able to develop and implement service improvements.

A professional qualification of CIOH or relevant degree is desirable including an understanding of customer focused housing investment and regeneration programmes. A good knowledge of housing regulatory requirements, including relevant legislation and national policy frameworks is also desirable.

A full current driving licence and use of own transport is also desirable.
