Investment Analyst – Real Estate Private Equity

Caravel are working with a leading international real estate private equity firm that is looking to add an Investment Analyst to its London-based team. This is a great opportunity to join a lean, entrepreneurial environment with significant capital to deploy across Europe.

This is a well-capitalised platform where you will gain exposure to complex, pan-European transactions in a high-performing team.

The Role

As an Analyst, you’ll play a hands-on role in the full investment cycle, from underwriting and structuring transactions, through to financing, execution and post-deal asset management. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Financial modelling, return analysis and preparation of investment materials
  • Supporting transaction due diligence and negotiations
  • Assisting in the structuring and execution of financing solutions
  • Supporting fundraising and fund reporting activities
  • Taking on select asset management responsibilities post-acquisition
Candidate Profile

We’re looking for someone with a strong analytical background and around 12–24 months’ commercial experience. Ideal backgrounds include:

  • Investment banking (M&A, real estate, or related coverage groups)
  • Management consulting (transaction / corporate finance focus)
  • Real estate investment (analyst level)
Other requirements
  • Strong academic track record (bachelor’s or master’s degree from a leading university)
  • Fluency in English; an additional European language is highly desirable, with German particularly attractive
  • Excellent technical skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ability to work with complex financial models
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, collaborative approach
Compensation
  • Base salary in the region of £60 - 80,000, depending on experience.
  • Strong levels of discretionary performance-related bonus.
  • Office-based 5 days a week, near Charing Cross station.
