Job summary

A local council in the UK is seeking an Interim Team Leader for Waste & Recycling to coordinate effective waste management services. This full-time, temporary role involves supervising staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety, and contributing to a positive local environment. Candidates should have a valid UK driving license, experience managing waste services, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, organise, support and advise allocated staff.
  • Ensure health and safety requirements compliance.
  • Work with service coordinators to programme planned work.
  • Conduct site visits for staffing requirements and costings.
  • Ensure drivers are correctly licensed and assessed.
  • Maintain administrative records and files.
  • Support and cover during leave periods.

Education

Valid UK driving license (Category B+E)
