Job description
Registered Nurse Manager – Mental Health Residential Service

Location: Denbigh

Salary: £49,140 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

Contract: Fixed term for six to seven months maternity cover, Start date February 2026

Essential Requirements
  • Current Nursing PIN. RMN RNMH RNLD preferred. RGN with relevant mental health experience considered
  • Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Leadership and Management or equivalent
  • Strong operational leadership capability with a track record of driving service excellence
  • Confident in clinical governance, risk management and regulatory compliance
  • Strong communicator with the ability to lead, motivate and performance manage teams
  • Robust understanding of safeguarding and vulnerable adult procedures
  • Flexible to meet service needs including occasional shift cover
The Role
  • Lead the day to day operational and clinical management of a mental health residential service supporting individuals with complex needs
  • Deliver structured leadership across staffing, care delivery, compliance and service quality
  • Provide clinical oversight including medication management, care planning and risk assessment
  • Ensure service alignment with RISCA regulations and internal quality frameworks
  • Manage teams through supervision, appraisal processes and team meetings
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to operational policies and procedures
  • Participate in the on call rota to maintain service continuity
  • Drive a person centred culture focused on safety, empowerment and positive outcomes
