A leading Med Tech firm in Oxford is seeking an experienced Interim Procurement Lead to support sourcing and supply chain activities at a critical stage in product development. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Med Device, NPD, and strategic procurement processes. This role requires immediate availability and working at least 3 days a week in the Oxford office.

• Experience in Med Device, Biotech, IVD manufacturing.
• Knowledge of NPD and NPI is essential.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement professional to influence the sourcing and supply chain activity at a critical stage in our client’s product development.

We are working with a Med Tech scale up, who are bringing to market a game changing piece of technology to revolutionise the speed of patient detection across multiple healthcare systems globally.

Now entering the final stages of development, we are seeking an individual that can support the R&D and Design teams with procurement expertise to help shape the final product, engage with the supply chain to ensure scaling up capability and bring their New Product Introduction and Development experience to the table.

This is a highly influential role, with visibility across the group, working with senior stakeholder groups in R&D, QA, Supply Chain and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Influence sourcing and supply chain activity at a critical stage in product development.
• Support R&D and Design teams with procurement expertise, shape the final product, engage with the supply chain, and ensure scaling up capability.
• Apply New Product Introduction and Development experience to the project.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholder groups in R&D, QA, Supply Chain and Operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Med Device, Biotech, IVD manufacturing.
• Knowledge of NPD and NPI essential.
• Expertise in strategic procurement processes and planning.
• 1 direct report; management experience is preferred.
• Immediate availability for an initial 6‑month contract, with possibility of extension or permanent transfer.
• Will working minimum 3 days a week in Oxford office.
