Job summary

A multi-academy trust in Slough is seeking a part-time interim Head of HR to lead strategic HR functions across their schools. The role is office-based, on a fixed term contract for 6 months with the possibility to extend. Candidates should be CIPD Qualified Level 7 or have extensive HR experience, ideally within the educational sector. Key responsibilities include providing strategic HR leadership, developing HR strategies, and managing HR initiatives across the trust. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential.

Qualifications

  • CIPD Qualified Level 7 or extensive senior HR experience required.
  • Significant experience of working as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner.
  • Strong track record of providing strategic HR advice across multiple sites.
  • Experience in strategic planning at a senior level.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation, including TUPE and Employment Tribunals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and advice for HR across the Trust.
  • Develop and maintain effective HR strategies.
  • Manage Trust-wide projects to harmonise HR practices.
  • Work with external HR provider for strategic advice.
  • Support effective HR transactional activities in schools.
