A safety consultancy in the UK seeks an Interim Fire Safety Consultant for a 3-month contract to assess actions related to fire risk assessments (FRA). Key responsibilities include evaluating completion evidence, resolving issues with contractors, and ensuring timely closure of FRA actions. Essential qualifications include a minimum level 3 in fire safety and relevant experience in passive fire safety measures. A competitive day rate of £565 plus VAT is offered, with minimal travel required.
Statement of work: What will the consultant be required to deliver during this period? Primarily assessing the evidence supporting proposed closure of FRA actions to ensure that the evidence we hold is suitable and sufficient. If evidence is not at the standard required, then liaise with the contractors to resolve promptly. Ensuring FRA actions are triaged and issued to correct delivery solution, preparing suitable scopes of works, evaluating suitability of completion evidence and preparing evidence for validation by the Building Safety Compliance team.
Justification as to why you need resource: To bolster the consultants currently in place to promptly close out the backlog of FRA actions.
Minimum level 3 in fire safety, experience of passive fire aspects. Desirable is IFSM membership and tier 2/3 fire risk assessor.
Anywhere, as travel will be minimal.
Day rate £565 plus VAT inclusive of agency fees.
3 months - with 2 week notice built in.
