Axon Moore are working with a leading retailer who are seeking an experienced Finance Director for circa 6 months. Hybrid working, 3 days in the office. Outside IR35

As the Finance Director you will be responsible for overseeing and directing all financial activities and you will work closely with the executive team to drive financial performance, make strategic financial decisions, and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Duties:

• Strategic Financial Leadership.
• Dynamic Budgeting and Forecasting.
• Insightful Financial Insights.
• Proactive Risk Management.
• Strategic Capital Allocation.
• Robust Financial Governance.
• Cashflow management and optimisation.
• Dealing with complex MI data and presenting this to the board in a digestible manner
• Using real-time data and analytics, providing insights into operations, influencing strategic direction.
• Find and drill into data trends.
• Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and MD, offering invaluable financial insights and guidance to inform high-level decision-making.
• Assist with mergers and acquisitions, contributing to due diligence processes and conducting thorough financial evaluations to assess the viability of potential deals
• Identify opportunities and risks and advise accordingly
• Leadership and mentoring of the Finance team

Person Specification:

• We are looking for an experienced Finance Director with a wealth of experience as an interim professional.
• Must be qualified.
• Must be experienced at FD level, ideally in a highly ambitious, high growth environment.
• A retail / warehousing / FMCG, fast paced background is nice to have.
