Overview

Pulse are looking for registered and experienced Band 5 & 6 Registered Intensive Care Nurses in the Euston area.

At Pulse, we understand that being an Intensive Care Nurse can be challenging. We aim to reduce administrative tasks such as booking shifts and timesheets, and provide support to ITU Nurses so you can focus on patient care. Enjoy flexible shifts available from Monday through Sunday, with block bookings available up to 3 months in advance. Pulse Nursing has secured Tier 0 status with five well established trusts in North Central London, giving you advanced notice of shifts and exclusivity of these opportunities. We offer a variety of shift patterns, including full-time equivalent hours, in the Euston area (nearest station Warren Street) with pay rates of £20.00 - £33.00 per hour PAYE.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement and evaluate care
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living
  • Regular assessment and monitoring of patient's vital signs
  • Perform different types of observations and use monitoring systems
  • Use and ensure the working function of varied medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, feeding pumps, monitors
  • Care for patients receiving invasive and non-invasive ventilation
  • Recognise patient deterioration and timely escalation of care
  • Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and relatives
  • Work as part of a team
  • Make appropriate referrals and prepare patients for discharge or transfer
  • Keep accurate and timely patient records and follow local policies and procedures
  • Administer medication via different routes
Qualifications
  • Valid NMC registration
  • At least 6 months recent UK NHS experience within the ITU sector
  • Ability to provide a clinical reference as well as covering the last three years of employment
  • Able to provide an enhanced DBS or documents to apply for one
  • Right to work within the UK – proof will be required
