Role: Integrated Therapy Assistant

Location: Pengwern College

Full time: 40 hours per week

Salary: GBP25,560 per annum

The Cambian Group, the UK's largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated, caring individual to join the company as an Integrated Therapy Assistant based at Pengwern College.

Cambian Pengwern College is an independent provider of specialist further education in North Wales, offering day, and up to 52-week residential placements for young people aged 16 to 25 with a learning disability and complex needs.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Occupational Therapy (OT) team and Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT) team at Pengwern College; deliver therapy programmes to individuals or groups under the direction of the senior OT or SaLT in educational and residential settings.
• Support the OT or SaLT in the assessment of young people\'s communication needs and functional skills; report on individual progress; provide support with resources for individuals.
• Contribute to the development of the Communication and Sensory Environment.
• Receive regular supervision and, as part of the Cambian Clinical Service, be eligible for training.

• Basic IT skills and the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a busy team.
• A successful candidate will meet the person specification to be offered this post.
• Desirable: Experience working with ASD and/or LD and/or CAMHS.
