About the role

We are looking for an insurance practice leader to drive new business growth and deliver consulting services in the insurance and reinsurance sector. This role offers the opportunity to build, expand client relationships and deliver innovative tech, data and AI solutions to leading Fortune 500 companies.

We are seen as a domain expert with deep experience and process knowledge across various insurance divisions. The role presents a fantastic opportunity to develop Ascent’s insurance portfolio, proposition, and value for our customers.

Accountabilities
  • Be a leading voice in developing Ascent’s insurance practice offerings.
  • Write and publish industry thought pieces on social platforms and as part of our marketing campaigns.
  • Deliver high-quality consultancy services into insurance customers.
  • Support the broader tech, data and AI teams delivering services into our insurance customers and provide them with insight and industry knowledge where needed.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in the insurance and reinsurance sectors, focusing on high-value accounts with potential for strategic partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain senior-level relationships to establish Ascent as a strategic partner.
  • Lead the creation and execution of market strategies and support our Customer Success and Sales teams to develop account plans that drive commercial success.
  • Lead presales teams of SMEs to develop compelling solutions and ensure revenue growth, gross margin success, and pipeline development, achieving medium-term growth targets for the insurance practice.
Skills and experience required
  • Insurance or Reinsurance Expertise: Good understanding of insurance operations including underwriting, claims, actuarial and compliant IT. Knowledge of industry trends and risk management strategies.
  • Lead Engagements: Experience of leading business transformation at insurance organisations, either as an internal employee or consultant. Including bringing people together and manager broad groups of stakeholders.
  • Consulting: Experience of delivering consultancy services into enterprise customers, for example use case development, data strategy definition, roadmap definition, customer journey mapping, etc.
  • Senior-level Relationship Management: Track record of building and nurturing relationships with executives, department leads, sponsors aligning with their business goals.
  • Agile delivery: Familiarity with Agile delivery methods, and consulting models tailored to insurance/reinsurance needs.
