Qualifications

Job description

Role: Injection Moulding Setter

Location: Oxfordshire

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience (DOE)

Shift: 3‑On, 3‑Off, 12‑hour rotating days (07:00‑19:00)

We are working with a leading plastics manufacturer, seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join their busy production team in Oxfordshire. This is a great opportunity to join a well‑established company producing high‑quality plastic components for a variety of industries.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare machines and production areas for mould changes, ensuring all tools, materials and equipment are ready for efficient and safe changeovers.
  • Safely remove and install moulds, following all safe systems of work (SSOWs) and company procedures.
  • Carry out routine machine setups and adjustments to achieve consistent, high‑quality parts.
  • Monitor machine performance, cycle times and quality standards, taking corrective action where necessary.
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately, including shot settings, setup sheets and performance logs.
  • Identify, report and resolve machine or process issues to maintain production uptime.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives including SMED, TPM, automation and material efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality and teamwork within the production area.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment at all times.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Setter in a production environment.
  • Formal qualifications in Injection Moulding Setting/Processing.
  • Experience operating lifting equipment, cranes and powered pallet trucks (PPT).
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Team player with a flexible and proactive approach.
  • IMT qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the business.
