Qualifications

• Experience with Windows Server 2012 R2 or 2016 including DNS server and Active Directory.
• Proficient in deployment and management of Windows 10 OS and patches.
• Knowledge in database administration of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or later.

Required

• Windows Server 2012 R2 or 2016 – DNS server; Active Directory: multiple sites, diagnosed replication, setup/managed trusts; advanced authoring and management of group policy objects;
• Centralised and automated deployment and management of Windows 10 operating system (MDT or SCCM) and patches (WSUS or SCCM), application software (other than MSI deployments through group policy), and anti-virus
• PC security including encryption of devices, roaming always-on secure connections (for laptops), and ransomware prevention
• Recognised multi-factor authentication and/or single-sign on solution(s)
• Physical and AWS networking (TCP/IP, subnets, QoS, routing, VLANs, IPsec tunnels, regions/VPCs/sub-nets and security)
• Demonstrable PowerShell scripting and use of diverse set of modules including AD, Office365, and Exchange
• Basic Linux administration - e.g. clean-building OS; familiarity with partitions, config, and network settings
• Everyday database administration of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or later - installing instances; maintaining database performance, backups; restoring of individual databases; security
• Automation-first / DevOps mindset
• Good verbal and written communication; attention to detail
