We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer for our Desktop Quality Assurance Team to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital.

You’ll be making sure our desktop services run smoothly and securely. You’ll take ownership of Windows 11 builds and Evergreen updates, ensuring everything integrates seamlessly. You’ll design and implement automation scripts to make processes faster and more efficient and you’ll keep a close eye on changes, so nothing goes into production with defects.
You’ll work with technologies like Intune, Autopilot, Microsoft Configuration Manager, WSUS and Windows 365, as well as tools like Citrix, Ivanti and Zscaler. Expect to re-engineer solutions, provide technical assurance and support virtual machines using Hyper‑V. You’ll also manage software distribution, encryption with BitLocker and configuration policies across our Windows Enterprise environment.

Location: You’ll join us in our brilliant digital hub in Manchester, right in the heart of the city centre, easily accessible by tram, bus or rail.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you’ll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £52,442.
Pension: You’ll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth over £12,000 per year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.
