About The Opportunity

This is an exciting prospect for a highly motivated, experienced individual to become an Information Security Advisor. A recognised Information security qualifications (e.g CISSP/CISM) or experience information security and risk management is essential. As a Security role a higher level of Vetting is required. The purpose of this role is to provide support to the Information Security Officer in carrying out:

Responsibilities
  • assurance work on a range of IT systems in line with the nationally recognised ISO27001 information security standard,
  • auditing different areas of the force to ensure it is compliant with the National Security Assessment for Policing standards.
  • assisting with security incidents
  • facilitating training and awareness
  • assisting with developing and maintaining policies and procedures
  • physical security reviews in accordance with national and police guidance.

With the IT and data landscape changing at a rapid pace, we need an individual who is able to cope under pressure, able to make decisions at short notice and has great time management to manage multiple task and projects.
