A national health organization is seeking a Senior Information Governance professional to manage the IG support function for the National Data Resource Programme. The successful candidate will provide expert advice, manage risks, and ensure compliance with data processing laws. A Master's level education and a Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection are essential. We have an exciting secondment opportunity within the Clinical Directorate for an experienced Information Governance professional to join the IG support function for the National Data Resource (NDR) Programme. You will be working as part of a dynamic and friendly team to support a priority national programme. The post is being advertised as cover for maternity leave.
You will provide senior level support within the Information Governance Team, providing expert advice and guidance to stakeholders across a range of NDR programme related projects. You will take responsibility for a number of programme deliverables, including the further development and embedding of the IG framework that clarifies how stakeholders can meet their legal obligations when processing personal and confidential data in relevant services.
This role will have a base from any of our DHCW offices.
As a senior member of the IG Team and a subject matter expert in your field you will be responsible for the overall management of the NDR Programme's IG support function. You will need a flexible and collaborative approach and be able to adjust your approach according to your audience. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and drive to provide a first-class service in what can be a challenging environment.
