Job summary

A healthcare institution in the UK is seeking an experienced candidate to manage data protection assessments and governance training. The role includes handling sensitive information, conducting compliance checks, and producing reports for governance committees. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in data handling related to governance metrics and a good understanding of NHS Information Governance. Initial temporary contract with potential for extension or permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Significant experience of data handling, manipulation and analysis related to governance relevant metrics.
• Experience of working with sensitive/confidential information.
• Understanding of NHS Information Governance including Data protection statutory guidance and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA's) and other information risk activities.
• Conduct, review and complete Subject Access Requests for Staff and patients.
• Develop and maintain information governance training programmes.
• Issue reports on IG training assurance and compliance.
• Implement and monitor data sharing agreements complying with data protection laws.
