We have an exciting opportunity for two compassionate and motivated Domestic Violence Advisors to join our team in North Kent. You\'ll provide a high-quality frontline service to people at the highest risk of domestic abuse using a client-centred personalised approach.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess the risks and needs of domestic abuse victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist, enabling a dynamic and personal safety plan to meet the individual needs of a client and their family.
  • Advise clients on civil and criminal remedies and their housing rights. Support clients through the MARAC process, working closely with the police and other agencies to advocate for the clients\' overall wellbeing.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Good understanding of domestic abuse, including the impact on victims and their children, with previous experience in a similar role.
  • Formal qualifications such as IDVA or willingness to undertake IDVA training are essential.
  • Comprehensive experience delivering effective case work, risk and needs assessment and safety and support planning.
  • Practical and procedural knowledge of civil and criminal justice remedies for victims of domestic abuse and their children.
