Description

The In-house Housing Management Solicitor will be:

  • Leading and mentoring a small in-house legal team on housing matters.
  • Advising on disrepair claims, anti-social behaviour, injunctions, and possession proceedings.
  • Conducting advocacy in court and tribunal hearings.
  • Drafting and negotiating tenancy agreements, settlement agreements, and legal correspondence.
  • Working closely with housing operations, tenancy, and complaints teams to mitigate legal risk and deliver tenant‑centred solutions.
Profile

The In-house Housing Management Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor (or equivalent) with 3+ years PQE, ideally with a strong background in housing law.
  • Skilled in disrepair, ASB, possession, injunctions, and tribunal or court advocacy.
  • Experienced in team leadership or mentoring junior lawyers.
  • Comfortable working in a social housing context and collaborating with non‑legal stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
