Job summary

A leading employment agency seeks an Employability & Skills Mentor in Yate to empower young people, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), towards employment and education opportunities. Responsibilities include developing tailored action plans and collaborating with stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications and experience working with youth, along with strong communication skills. This temporary role offers an hourly rate of £19.00, requiring a full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Experience with youth work and understanding barriers faced by those with SEND.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop personalized action plans for young people.
• Support young people in overcoming barriers to employment.
• Collaborate with schools and employers to identify pathways.
• Maintain regular contact with caseload for ongoing support.
• Conduct outreach activities to engage young people.
