A healthcare trust in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking an Imaging Department Assistant to join their General X-ray team. This role involves providing clinical support alongside radiographers, assisting in administrative tasks, and ensuring the well-being of patients. Ideal candidates should have at least 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English, and possess a caring attitude. The Imaging Department is looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic individual to the position of Imaging Department Assistant within the General X‑ray team at UHNM.
Provide a supportive role to the imaging team ensuring delivery of an efficient and effective service; work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to give best quality service by assisting radiographers, nurses and medical staff.
A caring, co‑operative and flexible approach while maintaining a professional attitude for the dignity and well‑being of the patient.
Support 24/7 365 day service providing excellent care to the local population.
Shift basis covering 12.5 and 8 hr days and nights.
Reception/clerical duties including data entry; majority of work is clinical support alongside radiographers in imaging rooms and portable imaging.
Act as Fire Warden to the team (training given).
Duties include data input, reception duties, direct patient care, assisting diagnostic radiographers, maintaining stock in clinical areas and departmental cleanliness.
Previous experience of working in a caring environment.
Hold 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and English.
Highly motivated, uphold trust values and promises, good organisational and IT skills.
