A leading healthcare service in Scotland is seeking an Identity and Access Management (Automation) Technical Lead to oversee automation services in the ITSM platform. This role requires experience with Active Directory and M365, understanding of IAM security, and technical problem-solving skills. Who are we?
The NHS Tayside Digital Directorate work with clinical and business colleagues to improve the communication across and between services and provide information where and when it is needed to support the delivery of safer, faster patient care. Within the directorate, you will work within our Identity & Access Management Team who control the access to all digital records across the board and aim to give the right people, the right access, at the right time.
We are looking to recruit an Automation Technical Lead to work within our Identity & Access Management team. You will be the technical lead managing and improving our automation service within the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Platform (currently Ivanti Neurons and Ivanti Automation).
You will interact regularly with vendors, software developers, project managers, clinical leads, and the NHS Scotland National team in the implementation of Active Directory/EntraID authentication and authorization for 80+ clinical and business systems in use throughout the board.
You will report directly to, support, and deputise for the Identity and Access Manager. You will serve as the senior of a two-person team managing and improving the technical side of IAM, whilst working alongside the rest of the Identity & Access Management (Enablement) team who manage the Business-as-Usual side IAM Operations.
Location: Primarily based at the MacKenzie building on the Ninewells Hospital Campus in Dundee, regularly scheduled hybrid working, alternate-, compressed-, and flexible-working options fully encouraged to promote a healthy work/life balance.
Work pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week (reducing to 36 hours per week in April 2026 in accordance with the Agenda for Change.
