Job summary

Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic with good written English.
  • Completed a recognised 2-year foundation training programme.
  • Previous anaesthetic or critical care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment & clinical management of critically ill patients.
  • Timely discussion with supervising colleagues regarding patient conditions.
  • Familiarity with common procedures with supervised training available.
  • Supervision and teaching of more junior ICU trainees.
  • Organising detailed patient handovers.
  • Updating clinical records and audit systems.
  • Communication with patients' families about patient progress.

Good communicator with excellent spoken English

Education

Full registration with GMC at the time of appointment
MBBS or Equivalent
ALS
Primary FRCA or part 1 MRCP
