Job summary

A well-established Accountancy Practice in St Ives is seeking a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant. This is a permanent position offering an initial office-based training, transitioning to a hybrid role. Responsibilities include bookkeeping for clients, processing invoices, and VAT returns. Candidates should have transactional accounting experience and be working towards AAT. Qualifications

  • Experience in bookkeeping duties for clients.
  • Ability to process/post sales and purchase invoices.
  • Proficient in bank reconciliation and VAT returns.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out bookkeeping duties for a portfolio of clients.
  • Process and post sales and purchase invoices.
  • Resolve queries from clients as needed.

Skills

Experience within a practice environment
Knowledge of day to day transactional accounting
IT Literate - experience of Sage and Xero
Team player with excellent communication skills
Strong organization skills

Education

Working towards AAT qualification
