Job description
Overview

UnifyHQ is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HV Contract Manager to support the safe operation, maintenance, and development of high-voltage assets across a UK-wide solar PV and battery energy storage portfolio. This hybrid role sits within the HV Engineering and Authorised Person (AP) functions, providing technical oversight, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination up to 33kV.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute HV switching, isolations, and earthing procedures (up to 33kV)
  • Coordinate annual maintenance schedules and update PPM trackers
  • Liaise with DNOs to arrange OIEC and confirm costings
  • Support HV onboarding visits and verify functionality against SLD and ESRs
  • Act as interface between clients, DNOs, field engineers, and internal teams
  • Review and develop HV documentation including RAMS, CM/PM reports, and onboarding packs
  • Analyse HV partner reports and extract summaries for action
  • Manage remedial works: scope, quotations, contractor liaison, and in-house execution
  • Provide technical support to field technicians and control room teams
  • Assist with training and development of nationwide field teams
  • Support commercial team with technical input during client calls
  • Manage purchase orders, cost approvals, and invoicing
  • Perform CE duties under HV safety rules (subject to training and assessment)
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
  • 4-5 years\' experience in O&M of electrical systems for industrial or renewables sites
  • AP2+ authorised for HV switching (33kV-66kV)
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Willingness to travel for training and client meetings
  • Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
  • Experience with solar PV or battery energy storage systems
  • Familiarity with relays, transformers, and switchgear
