Overview

We are looking for a Humanities Teacher, teaching History, Geography and RE in a school that offers excellent opportunities for professional development. William Perkin Church of England High School (Ofsted 'Outstanding') is part of the Twyford Trust schools. The main purpose of this role is to achieve outstanding examination results for all classes, lead an outstanding tutor group within a pastoral year team, and promote the school's ethos through engagement with the house system. This role supports GCSE preparation and beyond. The successful applicant will join an innovative, energetic staff group and be well supported by a Senior Leadership Team. They will be a strong classroom practitioner with a commitment to achieving the highest standards academically and in learning habits and personal dispositions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead an outstanding tutor group within a pastoral year team.
  • Teach Geography, History and RE to KS4 and KS3 where applicable.
  • Contribute to delivering an outstanding curriculum and supporting students’ examination performance.
  • Promote the school's ethos and vision through engagement with school systems (e.g., house system).
