Role Overview

As a Humanities Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to students across a range of humanities subjects, including but not limited to history, philosophy, sociology, and religious studies. You will be responsible for creating and implementing a curriculum that supports academic achievement while encouraging critical thinking and exploration in students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in humanities subjects to a diverse range of students.
  • Design, implement, and assess student work, ensuring that learning outcomes are met.
  • Provide feedback and support to students, helping them achieve their academic goals.
  • Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement processes.
  • Attend departmental meetings and collaborate with other staff members to enhance the student experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessment results.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant Humanities subject.
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
