Job description
Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time HR Business Partner who is highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced team. Working with and managing members of the HR Advisory team as part of the Trust's Operational HR department, this role provides generalist HR support to Care Group and Corporate Directorates.

  • Demonstrate the ability to build trusting and effective relationships with Senior Managers, Staff Side (Trade Union) Colleagues and other key stakeholders to resolve issues and drive change.
  • Possess CIPD chartered membership or be actively studying towards this qualification.

The role requires experience in overseeing and resolving a wide range and high volume of employee relations cases.

Responsibilities
  • Develop manager capability to embed a Just Culture approach, ensuring colleagues are treated with kindness and openness.
  • Work with senior managers to drive change and challenge established thinking.
  • Provide HR advice on organisational change and be responsible for the management and delivery of a proactive operational HR service.
  • Support across Trust sites, with flexibility to work from York or Scarborough and attend face-to-face meetings as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Education: Degree level and professional HR qualification (or studying towards) with evidence of continuing professional development. Chartered CIPD membership (or studying towards).
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience as a HR specialist in a complex multi-professional organisation; significant experience dealing with complex employee relations issues including dismissals, organisational change, and TUPE.
  • Skills: Ability to demonstrate team leadership and a commitment to the development of others.

Location: York Hospital, Wigginton Road, York YO31 8ZZ. The role can be based at either York or Scarborough site with requirement to work across Trust sites. Flexible working and home-working patterns are in place with attendance for face-to-face meetings as required.

Pay: Agenda for Change, Band 7. Salary £47,810 to £54,710 per annum. Contract: Permanent. Working pattern: Full-time, Flexible working, Compressed hours.
