We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental performance at an engineering and manufacturing site in Southampton. This senior, single-site role reports to the UK QHSE Senior Director, with matrix reporting to site management. You will act as the primary HSE partner for the site, combining hands-on operational delivery with strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, and culture change.

The role offers the chance to make a real impact within the food, beverage, and process industries, working on complex projects in a dynamic, international environment, and helping to drive a strong safety culture across the site.

Responsibilities
  • Lead HSE management at the Southampton facility as the on-site subject matter expert.
  • Partner with site leadership to drive strategy, governance, and accountability in HSE matters.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels from frontline teams to divisional and global stakeholders.
  • Oversee HSE management systems, audits, inspections, and continual improvement plans.
  • Deliver training, coaching, and guidance to strengthen a proactive safety culture.
  • Lead incident investigations, reporting, and translate HSE data into actionable insights for the leadership team.
Your profile
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (essential), with strong HSE experience.
  • Background in engineering, manufacturing, or facilities environments.
  • Knowledge of HSE legislation, ISO, and British Standards.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership and embed cultural change.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills.
