We are seeking a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to take a lead role in driving safety, compliance and continuous improvement across a complex, high-hazard environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on all aspects of health, safety and environmental management across a top-tier COMAH facility.
  • Ensure compliance with UK legislation, industry standards and internal governance.
  • Develop, implement and monitor site-wide HSE strategies, policies and procedures.
  • Act as the site lead for regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Partner with operations, engineering and leadership teams to embed a strong safety culture.
  • Provide expert HSE guidance, coaching and support across all levels of the organisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance and environmental stewardship.

About You:

  • Proven track record in an HSE leadership role within chemical manufacturing, heavy industry, or other high-hazard environments.
  • Strong knowledge of COMAH regulations and major hazard management.
  • A collaborative, people-centric leader able to influence and engage across all functions.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IOSH).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
