A leading aerospace manufacturer in Cwmbran is looking for an HSE Coordinator to manage health, safety, and environmental operations. This role involves coordinating risk assessments, health surveillance, and HSE awareness campaigns, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. Ideal candidates should be NEBOSH-certified, have experience in health and safety within a manufacturing environment, and demonstrate strong communication skills. Location: Cwmbran, Wales, United Kingdom | Fixed Term contract
Coordinate the Health, Safety and Environment general operations at the Safran Seats GB sites. To coordinate the Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and Permits to Work to ensure Health and Safety compliance. To coordinate with Human Resources, Occupational Health and the Workforce on the Health Surveillance Programme. To conduct regular General Planned Inspections (GPI's) and track progress. Act as a focal point and offer support on HSE concerns and improvements. Coordinate the Mental Health First Aid programme and volunteers. Coordinate the general working daily HSE operations. Coordinate and control operational Risk & COSHH Assessments. Maintain currency of the Health Surveillance programme, ensuring additional appointments are recorded and planned. Maintain and monitor SEAT cards – examine for trends and repetitive incidents. Coordinate PPE/RPE supplies and maintenance with contractors. Coordinate H&S positions with business areas and management, ensuring sufficient personnel are trained and competent as Fire Marshals, First Aiders and MHFA\'s. Liaise with Facilities and Site Services on daily Contractors and visitors to ensure relevant Risk Assessments and Permits to Work are relevant, and competent personnel are conducting tasks. Coordinate with Management, HR and Occupational Health on the wellbeing and welfare facilities of employees. Escalate Health, Safety and Environment concerns through the Management structure from the workforce. Promote and communicate HSE awareness campaigns. Seek continuous improvement opportunities. Undertake other duties and tasks as may be reasonably requested by your manager.
