Successful candidates must hold a NEBOSH Certificate and have at least 3-5 years of experience in relevant sectors, with strong communication and risk management skills. Role Overview

The Site-Based EPC Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for promoting and supporting a proactive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) culture across all phases of EPC project delivery. This role ensures full compliance with contractual requirements, applicable legislation, industry standards, and company HSE policies while working closely with construction teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor the project HSE Management System onsite in alignment with EPC execution activities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure work is executed safely and hazards are controlled.
  • Lead, support, and participate in HSE meetings, toolbox talks, pre-task briefings, and safety campaigns.
  • Review method statements, job hazard analyses, lifting plans, and permits to work for safe execution.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts/conditions; provide detailed reports and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
  • Assist in onboarding, HSE inductions, and ongoing training programs for employees and subcontractors.
  • Monitor compliance with legal requirements, industry best practices, and client HSE contractual obligations.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, logs, and performance metrics for reporting to management and stakeholders.
  • Promote and support a positive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and visible leadership.
  • Coordinate emergency response preparedness and drills.
  • Foster collaboration with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure safety is embedded throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Experience
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (or equivalent required).
  • Minimum 35 years HSE experience in EPC, construction, heavy industry, utilities, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to work in multicultural environments with multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management, PTW systems, safe lifting operations, and construction safety standards.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in remote or demanding site conditions as required.
