Job description

This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you an experienced HR professional with technical expertise and enthusiasm for advising on formal employee relations cases? Can you demonstrate effective relationship management and influencing skills?

As the University's employee relations specialists, the HR Case Management team provide advice, guidance, support and innovative resolutions on formal conduct cases, grievances, appeals and employment tribunals. You will bring your broad and current knowledge of employment law, HR best practice and a pragmatic approach to the role.

Reporting to the Senior Case Management Lead, you will work closely with leaders and HR Officers/Managers adopting a coaching mind-set. This will include developing and delivering guidance and training reflecting current trends and approaches, embedding best practice HR solutions across the organisation, offering advice and challenge and providing consistency of approach on cases.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the whole people services team to support the delivery of a consistent and timely case management service, you will oversee a complex portfolio of cases, contributing to continual improvement and innovative systems, moving this forward as a key HR strategic initiative in line with our People Strategy.

You will be an experienced HR practitioner with a solutions-focused approach, a technical expert in managing complex ER cases and an ability to drive forward positive change and consistent approaches across the University.

This role is open to University of Leeds employees currently employed within the People and Culture Directorate only.
