HR Assistant
Location: Knockbracken Healthcare Park, BT88BH
Hours: Full Time, Mon-Fri, 9am – 5pm
Salary: £12.31 per hour
Contract: Temporary (3-6 months)

About the Role:

We are recruiting a Human Resources & Organisational Development (HR/OD) Assistant to support the delivery of a professional HR service across the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. Working at Band 3 level, this is an excellent opportunity to build a career in HR within the health service. You’ll play a key role in managing queries, delivering administrative support, and contributing to a range of HR functions such as recruitment, employment law, attendance, and training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Log and manage all queries through the HR/OD Helpdesk in line with KPIs
  • Deliver administrative support across HR functions including resourcing, employee relations, and organisational development
  • Prepare and issue high-quality correspondence and organise HR-related meetings
  • Input and maintain accurate records using HRPTS and other systems
  • Take minutes at meetings and assist in presenting HR/OD data
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards
  • Contribute to modernisation and service improvement projects
What We’re Looking For:
  • 5 GCSEs (Grades A–C including English) and 1 year of admin/customer service experience
  • 6 months’ experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • 1 years’ experience working within a Human Resources function
