We welcome everyone and aim to help colleagues achieve their full potential while making a positive impact for clients, colleagues and communities.

Addleshaw Goddard's Business Services and Innovation team offers an exciting place to begin and shape your career as a graduate. Teams work closely with each other and with the four core legal groups to deliver premium service. Roles exist across IT, BD & Marketing, HR and Innovation in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

The Role

This role sits within our Human Resources Team, which operates across our London, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh and Dubai offices, supporting the business internationally. The HR team is structured into specialist areas including Learning and Development, Reward, Resourcing, HR Operations, HR Business Partnering and the Responsible Business team.

As part of the HR Business Partnering team, you will work closely with the wider HR team and key stakeholders to provide guidance, support and coaching. AG is committed to continuous improvement and innovation, and you will help drive forward new initiatives, annual processes and projects.

This is a varied, fast-paced and diverse role within an inclusive and collaborative team. You will benefit from excellent training and development opportunities, including sponsorship to complete your CIPD qualification, enabling you to gain practical experience while earning a professional qualification.

At AG, we foster a supportive and agile working culture with flexibility to balance employee needs with those of the team, firm and clients. We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and communities, and our employee networks and inclusion initiatives celebrate the unique differences that define us.

What will the role involve?
  • Business Partnering – Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and employees; acting as a trusted advisor; supporting the HR Manager in developing and implementing HR initiatives.
  • Employee Relations – Assisting with employee relations cases and providing support to line managers; maintaining HR records and ensuring policy compliance; supporting family leave matters, adaptable working applications and benefits information.
  • Resourcing – Assisting with recruitment and onboarding for new joiners; supporting leavers through resignation processes and exit interviews.
  • Performance Management – Supporting annual performance check-ins and contributing to the annual salary and bonus review.
  • Other Responsibilities – Producing management information (MI) and reports to identify trends; supporting ad-hoc projects and DE&I work; assisting with firm-wide engagement surveys.
What Skills Will Help You Succeed in This Role?
  • A strong desire to develop and progress within HR.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, tailored to different audiences.
  • High attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Resilience and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills and commercial awareness.
  • Undergraduate degree (in any discipline).
