A leading home appliances manufacturer is seeking a part-time HR Advisor to provide comprehensive HR support in Wolverton. This role requires a strong HR generalist with excellent communication skills and employment law knowledge. Responsibilities include advising line managers and improving HR processes. Generalist HR Support: Provide comprehensive HR support to line managers, offering first-line advice and guidance on performance management, disciplinary matters, grievances, absence management, and benefits in accordance with company policies.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with HR Business Partners and HR Administrators, sharing workloads and assisting during peak periods, such as payroll cut-off, to ensure smooth operations and team efficiency.
Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process enhancements within HR policies and procedures, implementing changes to improve employee performance, engagement, and retention.
Employment Legislation Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and best practices, ensuring that all HR advice and procedures are legally compliant and effectively communicated to stakeholders.
Project Involvement: Actively participate in HR projects aimed at challenging and improving existing processes and policies, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the HR function.
We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor with a proven track record to join our dynamic team. This part-time role is 18 hours per week Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. (With an opportunity to work in a hybrid way), Location Flexibility: Based in Milton Keynes, with the ability and willingness to travel to our other locations, including Corby and occasionally London.
HR Generalist Experience: Proven track record in managing a wide range of HR issues from end to end within a generalist HR role, demonstrating previous achievements in the field.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong team player with excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of building robust relationships with line managers and collaborating effectively to support both management and the HR administration team.
Employment Law Knowledge: Understanding of employment law to ensure that policies and procedures are updated in a legally compliant manner, alongside experience in interviewing techniques to assist with Team Staffing as needed.
Process Improvement and Attention to Detail: Proactive in identifying opportunities to enhance processes, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work that contributes to the overall success of the department and organisation.
