Overview
Work as part of the Recruitment and HR team to recruit, train, allocate and provide HR support to the company’s hundreds of staff and contractors. You will be involved in all aspects of the employee lifecycle and support the Company’s Recruitment and HR team to reach annual targets and goals. Job responsibilities and tasks
This is a dynamic and varied role supporting the HR team with day-to-day operations and projects. Priorities are driven by the needs of the company.
HR Administration
- Employee Lifecycle: Support HR processes for onboarding, changes to terms, managing probations, and leavers. Support the HR Manager with recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate employee data, record sickness absences, and create reports and presentations.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with all Ofsted requirements and ensure the studio checklist is up-to-date.
- Confidentiality: Provide minute-taking for meetings and disciplinary hearings while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Building Relationships & Collaboration
- Act as a key point of contact for the team. Build trust and rapport; work closely with the HR Manager and support all employees and branch managers. Communicate clearly, empathise with others, and collaborate effectively to support smooth operations. Serve as a helpful, friendly face for the team.
- This role includes travelling to art-K studios (1-2 visits per week). Applicants must be able and happy to commute.
Operational & Project Support
- Communication: Maintain a high level of verbal and written communication with art-K studios to proactively manage resources.
- Documentation: Maintain and update all recruitment and HR documents.
- Training: Help create training materials and presentations.
- Project Assistance: Support the HR Manager with the implementation of new projects.
Formal Qualifications
- A based degree 2:1 or above.
- Preferable: CIPD level 3 or higher or other related recruitment qualification.
- Preferable: Safer recruitment qualification and training on equality and diversity.
Experience
- 1 year in an HR related or managerial role with a people management aspect.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Specific Soft Skills
- Building relationships across the organisation; a curious mind to understand employee behaviour and what motivates applicants.
- Strong verbal communication to hold positive meetings, represent the company at HR events, and lead internal meetings confidently.
- Time management to prioritise tasks according to short- and long-term objectives.
- Strong organisational skills to coordinate different aspects of the role.
- Attention to detail to notice trends and irregularities when CV searching, checks, or updating records.

Training
art-K provides training through a certified provider on HSE and HR policies. The company supports professional self-development with financial support and study time for appropriate qualifications (e.g. CIPD development or management courses).

Location: In person, possible locations - Wandsworth, Greenwich or Beckenham
Salary: £29,000 for Full-Time, calculated pro rata for Part-Time hours
Part-time or Full time: 3-5 days per week, Monday to Friday; 24-40 hours per week. Schedule can be discussed with the preferred candidate.
