Job description
Overview

Nottinghill Genesis are looking for 2 Housing Repairs Administrators to start ASAP, working out of both their Kingcross office and Hammersmith Office. This will be on a 5 week rota — 3 weeks at Hammersmith and 2 weeks at Kings Cross. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. This is an office-based role, so no working from home.

Responsibilities
  • Action repairs requests with urgency to ensure issues are fixed quickly.
  • Be meticulous when reviewing and accepting quotes; check if contractor costs are reasonable.
  • Confirm that the repair work matches what was promised before paying.
  • Be proactive in preventing repairs from getting stuck and ensure each repair is finished quickly and well.
  • Keep internal and external customers informed about progress and timelines.
  • Answer questions online or in person and record everything on Workwise.
  • Ensure residents have a good experience with their repairs and understand needs of customers and colleagues to deliver effectively.
  • Triages/diagnoses repairs to prioritise serious issues, allocate resources cost-effectively, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Analyse quotes/variation orders and invoices, verifying costs and works using the Schedule of Rates (SOR); liaise with the appropriate authority if approvals are required.
  • Investigate causes to determine if a repair should be recalled or closed down; liaise with all parties concerned.
Qualifications
  • Ideally Housing Repairs experience, but not essential.
  • Ability to start ASAP.
