Job summary

A leading provider of affordable housing in Birmingham seeks an experienced Housing Officer for a temporary role. You will manage a diverse caseload, conduct inspections, provide resident support, and address tenancy issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of housing legislation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to positive outcomes. This a hybrid role with immediate start options, paying between £23.00 and £25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in tenancy management or a similar housing role.
  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation and best practice.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to positive outcomes for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of general needs housing properties.
  • Conducting estate inspections and tenancy audits.
  • Providing guidance to residents for tenancy sustainment.
  • Responding to ASB reports and collaborating with agencies.
  • Handling low-level arrears and supporting tenants.
  • Maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent service.

Think Recruitment are working with a leading provider of affordable housing in Birmingham to recruit a proactive and dedicated Housing Officer to join their team on a temporary basis.

Responsibilities
  • Managing a varied caseload of general needs housing properties
  • Conducting estate inspections, tenancy audits, and addressing breaches
  • Providing guidance and support to residents, ensuring positive tenancy sustainment
  • Responding to reports of ASB and working with relevant agencies to resolve issues
  • Handling low-level arrears and signposting tenants for financial or wellbeing support
  • Maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent customer service at all times
Requirements
  • Previous experience in tenancy management or a similar housing role
